i realised that it may not be entirely clear that ‘me studio’ has temporarily relocated to a slightly warmer and better tasting location for a while: a small villa on the coast of the beautiful island of sicily, before it gets too hot and too many people arrive…

this is also another reason the blog has become a bit quieter than usual, it transpires we are actually staying in a seaside property belonging to a quite famous italian documentary photographer, i’ll post about him later this week, it was a new name to me… so i’ll say ‘ciao for now’ the pasta is calling me :)

beautiful vintage picture cards by designer bruno munari, they remind me a bit of our ‘dingen’ kids books (see ‘me work’)

Boxed edition of “40 cards with photographic images to learn about the different ways of representing objects” plus 12 blank white cards to draw on. 3 different games can be played with the cards: The words and images game, The misleading images game, and The classification game. Intended for ages 3-6. Munari produced a second game in this Symbolism series called Say It By Signs, which uses the same photos with several additional variations, intended for ages 6-10.

‘astonishing’ is perhaps, a bit of an overstatement but then again, internet seems to be the medium of choice these days to use terms like amazing, genius and yep astonishing…. all the same they are quite interesting: a collection of ’tilt shift’ videos made with regular (digital) SLR cameras and painstaking stop-motion

many thanks to my mate ‘dominic davies’ for pointing this one out: the BBC documentary on sixties icon & bad-boy ‘brian duffy’ has been put online, a very enjoyable hours’ worth of soundbites & urban legend tales….
