i just got hold of a beautiful new book by photographer, artist and (rietveld academy) teacher uta eisenreich who uses photography as a means rather than an end in itself, the publication entitled ‘A not B’ consists of a series of striking or mundane, installations inspired by non-verbal IQ tests for children using everyday domestic objects… the book design was in the very competent hands of julia born and can be ordered via arty publisher roma

we know too much about how photographs work…
much admired photographer ‘gary winogrand’ out & about on the streets talking about his work… it might not be very interesting if you can’t speak german however… (via silverlining)

the publishing wing of communication agency kesselskramer are due to release several new titles, including an update to the 5 year old brick-red ‘kilo’ book, this time in a bright green cover and full of new work covering the period between the two publications…

other interesting titles are ‘use me abuse me’ shown above and the intriguing looking ‘ink’, full of tattoo-related short stories and some powerful illustration work from ‘happy pets’ (see earlier post today) more info on all of the titles can be found under the heading ‘new’ right here

here’s one of those ‘i found a rembrandt in the attic’ stories: a fella who had an original set of glass negatives from legendary landscape photgrapher ‘ansel adams’… fancy buying a print?
…rick norsigian thought he had a bargain when he managed to haggle down to £30. Just imagine his joy, then, when he had them valued ten years later and was told that their true worth was £128.5million…
