we spent a long day in the studio yesterday with ‘erwin olaf’ shooting a whole series of images for the 2011-2012 campaign for the dutch national ballet, in fact we made four different images, involving a large number of the top dancers… including one of my favourites ‘anu’ from finland
as i’ve mentioned before ‘erwin’ runs a tight ship and despite the complicated logistics and set changes, the whole thing was finished by 6pm, more news and images soon…
naked bum cheeks seem to form a neat bridge (or cleavage?) between the previous post and this one… as we spent the day yesterday in a photo studio with ‘erwin olaf’ and three dancers ‘igone’ (holland), ‘sefton’ (UK) and ‘anatole’ (the ukraine) shooting another new image for the 2011-2012 anniversary season for the dutch national ballet, the second image was shot later in the afternoon
we will be back for a very long day again this coming thursday, shooting a (demanding) total of three separate images with various dancers and custom made sets, in just one day… more news to follow later
the updated festival website for the 2011 edition of the renowned ‘chaumont poster festival’ is now online, the opening weekend: 28-29th of may promises a number of interesting events and the dutch are as usual, already well represented amongst the participants, including ‘michiel schuurman’ who must surely feature amongst the winners this year?, we’ll see
as usual i’m sat here in amsterdam behind a mac writing about the event instead of going along or entering work myself, i really need to make sure that changes next year (did i just think that to myself or write it down? he wonders…)
the mennonite church community in holland has been a champion of photography for several years now, organising various photo assignments and exhibitions in their church homebase in haarlem, a new exhibition featuring work from lukas göbel, tara fallaux, alex koelman and wim klerkx shot in exotic locations all over the world opens, starting may the 23rd till late july…
a large number of local agencies, including VBAT, fabrique, vandejong, grrr, staat, lava and mediamatic are taking part in the ‘open studio night’ this thursday (yes you’d better be quick and register) as part of the ‘creative amsterdam’ event, more details and info here and erm… no we are not on the list but me studio seems to be open every night due to the workload right now…
