a long day ‘jury duty’ for the dutch theater poster awards yesterday ended with a great selection of nominees and a worthy winner, the jury was completely new (except for me) so it was great to meet new people and hear varying opinions on design and how people perceive the things we make as designers, the results are under embargo for the moment, more news soon…

well, it would appear that fast company think my citID proposal for amsterdam, is ‘lame’ (fair enough it’s a matter of taste) and too complicated for a city logo… say what? (see previous entry in ‘me stuff’ for the whole project and explanation…
the posters shown here (from my dutch national ballet series) are being featured in an international poster exhibition and book ‘messages to the world’ organised by the ‘vidak’ (visual information design association of korea) opening in shanghai on the 1st of july, the following website may or may not provide more info for those interested, depending mainly on how many languages you can read…
my friend ‘andré thijssen’ is finally releasing his fringe phenomenon as a double edition book (designed by the talented ‘sabine verschueren’) which will be released during the opening of his show at the nederlands fotomuseum on july the 10th, looking forward to that…
