i just spotted the latest poster from dutch studio ‘mevis en van deursen’ for the ‘temporary stedelijk 2’ season for the amsterdam modern art museum (currently undergoing a troublesome/delayed facelift) this has to be one of the strongest and simple identities i’ve seen this year…

unusual poster which caught my eye in town: an exhibition entitled ‘five centuries of the baptist church in holland’, there wasn’t a credit for the design or photo (does anybody know?) the disjointed word across the poster is dutch for ‘baptised’
the sheer geek-factor of this project appeals to me, let alone the great looking poster which resulted from this guys obsessive black marker collection…
