i’m working on a new typographic illustration at the moment, this time without string, just pins, which requires a whole different approach than the previous pieces i’ve made, but still results in me having sore thumbs and fingers for days… the line is an amusing quote from author dylan thomas which i came across recently…

not only does he (very annoyingly) make the best smelling toasted sandwiches in the whole building during lunchtime… but my neighbour mister ‘frank dresmé’ a.k.a. 21bis has also updated his portfolio with lots of tasty recent projects, loving that ‘teeth grinder’ screen print poster series frank (shown at the top)

interesting film, but i must admit it looks very ‘post production’ to me, an example of where throwing budget at an idea isn’t always the solution… the pay-off makes the whole idea bit tenuous too
a case in point for the contrast is this little low-budget film below, made with lots of string and patience plus a cheap philips colour LED lamp and a few torches, the result is far superior… more work and info can be found on the makers site here
