the ‘concertgebouw’ in amsterdam has been notorious (to me) for years because they have such dreadful posters, finally today i spotted one that isn’t… for the ‘sunday breakfast concerts’ there are no credits on the poster but i think i have a pretty good idea who made it…
the latest campaign for dutch dance group ‘ndt’ has been shot by erwin olaf and features sweaty dancers during repetitions… i previously worked with erwin on several poster images for the dutch national ballet (thanks to ‘syb’ for the tip)
following on from the post about city branding i just came across the thoughtful article on the subject of design and it’s necessity (or not)

talking of mono brands… the city of melbourne has just got one (designed by landor) i actually quite like the mark itself, but i’m still not sure whether it really benefits a city to take this approach…
this little app connects to to your facebook network and makes a funky looking image map based on your profile pic, just exactly what else it’s good for, i have no idea… prretty much like facebook itself…(spotted via ‘qbn)
