yesterday i spent the day judging posters with, amongst others, belgian designer hugo puttaert who gave me a copy of a small art catalogue he’s just made using a mix of day-glo colours and glow in the dark ink, the cover message reads (approximately) like this: ‘culture, surely nobody is really interested in that?’ when exposed to sunlight and then read in the dark, it reads ‘aah dear, what really nobody?’ nice…

hugo is also one of the organisers behind the integrated 2009 event taking place in late october in antwerp, the line-up is pretty impressive and i’m defintiely be heading off to belgium… maybe see you there? as for the judging, the results are confidential until the awards evening on the 11th of november, the nominees should be announced very soon

this is just odd… a fairly um, unusual video for electronica outfit flying lotus from directors ‘tim & eric’ don’t watch it if you’re epileptic or happen to be eating at the moment… (tip via ‘mr duvall’)
