new work (in progress)
we were back in the studio yesterday shooting images for the latest ballet poster ‘coppelia’, the final poster will be a combination of the images (by ruud baan) and illustrations by ‘sieb posthuma’ who designed the set and the costumes for the whole ballet, the dancers were very easy to work with and the shoot was complete within an hour…
the original designs by ‘sieb’ can be seen here[/b], [/url] we might ask sieb to draw the whole thing, including the logo and text… more news soon, the ballet has a very ‘cartoonesque’ feel to it and this is what we are aiming to convey in the poster

the arty video for thom yorke’s latest electronica release the hollow earth features work from ‘banksy’ edited at high speed to the music… i feel dizzy
snitker + de haas
i had a look at the two designers who are credited for designing the new ‘huis marseille’ corporate identity (and font) this afternoon (see earlier post) and it was worth it…
michaël snitker has a typography-biased style whereas bart de haas seems to specialise more in books, snitker’s folio in particular has some really interesting work…
