labour of love

This is the final piece for my AS art course, a flipbook made entirely out of biro pens. It’s something like 2100 pages long, and about 50 jotter books. I’d say I worked on and off it for roughly 3 weeks.

how’s about that for a school project? nice (tip via ‘the motor’ blog)

a load of tits

last week, rotterdam agency boerenjongens illegally distributed a free ‘tit mag’ on commuter trains in the rush hour, the idea was merely a publicity stunt, but it seems to have worked, all of the girls were paid 50 euros to lift their tops up… you can download the whole thing (which has a real ‘reader’s wives’ look to it…) from their website

over shoulder, lit only by the screen

the laptop reflections project by ‘luna maurer, ‘roel wouters’, ‘jonathan puckey’ and ‘edo paulus’ better known as ‘conditional design’ (isn’t all design conditional as opposed to say art that could be called unconditional?) is finally online, the whole thing seems to be running on a google maps variant, it looks kinda of complex but i’m not sure i get the point other than the obvious voyeurism it provides…

swayspace

this small letterpress printer in brooklyn, NY is so proud of his machines that he has even uploaded videos of them on the site, it looks really lo-tech and charming… makes me want to make some letterpress stuff right away… they are currently producing the annual ‘feltron annual report’…
