…is the amusing title for this year’s dutch ‘graphic design student awards’, the quality is pretty high in my opinion and also interesting to note quite a few names amongst the nominees which i’ve posted about on the blog this year too

i was lucky enough to make the selection for the ‘best dutch book designs award’ this year which was very flattering…
the exhibition by the way, is still currently on show at the ‘stedelijk museum’ in amsterdam if you happen to be in town… in the meantime the call for entries for the next edition is closing on january the 5th (2 weeks) if you want to try your luck…

…70 people in synchronised real time constructed a large, fully functional digital clock made of wooden planks, measuring 4 x 12 metres… 1611 reconstructions in 24 hours, merciless shifts, always bordering on failure…
this nutty project from germany certainly strongly reminds me of the ‘analogue’ clock made by ‘maarten baas’ a few years back, but it does look great… it seems a bit odd to sell it on a dvd though, who is going to bother?
here’s a list of the ‘best’ and most blogged about fonts from 2010: admittedly a highly subjective list seeing as it’s from ‘font shop’ and only features their own stuff… still a few fonts that have been seen all over the place this year, like the perhaps already overused ‘museo’
