the controversy surrounding the 2012 london olympics logo, seems to keep it’s momentum as the event approaches, iran has now accused the makers of secretly placing the word ‘zion’ in that magenta mess and threatens to boycott the games as a result
whilst others claim that it actually hides the word ‘iran’… although the most amusing theory i’ve heard so far is the ‘lisa simpson giving head’ one… can’t see it? this might help
even though i’m not usually a fan of this kind of digital manipulation, these grotesque actor portraits are almost over the top kitsch but they seem to work quite well somehow… they appear to be based on photos if i’m not mistaken…

interesting new project from utrecht-based autobahn who have just completed the digitalisation of a complete stone masonry engraving font entitled ‘the alphabet in stone’ based on ancient roman letters, they will be releasing it later next month…
