german designer bert loeschner is having some fun with the iconic white plastic ‘monobloc’ chair

update: oops, wrong date sorry the opening is next friday (30th) see you all there right?…
due to open this coming friday in amsterdam: an ‘awkwart’ show from the inimitable mister martijn f. overweel

i had a wonderful weekend at papier hier doing a talk and listening to other inspiring ideas from ‘hansje van halem, ‘hattie newman’, ‘akatre’, ‘rene put & rianne petter’ and especially my main man ‘mister ian wright’
i recognised myself in many of the things ian talked about and we had a good chance to chat during the two days we spent together… a few people suggested we could be father and son but we settled for brothers… look forward to meeting up again ian, maybe in new york next time?

a big big thank you to ‘antalis’ and ‘lava’ for organising such a coherent, inspiring and well attended event and for those people who have contacted me about all of the names i mentioned, i will post a list later today hopefully… and finally get round to translating the intro piece i wrote for their website, into english
a novel approach to getting the safety message across:
