last saturday was spent in an opera studio shooting a new photo for the dutch national ballet 2007 season poster, with a hangover… considering that and the fact that we were making an image with 15 dancers all in the image together, (plus another 15 people on the set) it went amazingly well, it should look fantastic when we are finished doing the post production… working with a talented photographer like ruud baan also helps

in fact the only real problem was when ruud tried to show us he could dance too (see bottom picture) keep trying mate…

the latest ballet poster for ‘la bayadere’ an indian bollywood like theme is hanging around town (not one of my favourite ones to be honest) but I really do like that blue background, I wish posters were always displayed on strong colours like that… the standard I usually bear in mind when designing posters is mid-tone grey (general urban mess)

the left one has deceased after only three years,whilst the right-hand one is still going strong after more than sixty years (it does needs some restoration) the design of the ‘adler’ imac still looks very contemporary to me, even the metal badge branding is back in fashion, the logo is very nice but also a bit dubious…

I visted a new shop which opened in amsterdam today, called individuals… the store is filled with designs by students from the amsterdam fashion institute and was set up by a number of professionals in the design industry, including my friend Linnemore, the collection looked very professional, unfortunately so did the prices, worth a visit…
