last night i attended the somewhat confusing launch event for the shiny new identity for the newly merged dutch national opera & ballet designed by ‘lesley moore’, this is what can be seen of the identity so far
if i understood the various press releases correctly the identity has an underlying theme which is ‘superior simplicity’
when german cleaning equipment firm ‘kärcher’ offered to clean mount rushmore for free (smart publicity stunt) no one was counting on just how well it would work out… it was also a very photogenic idea…
a really inspiring identity/wayfinding system from the very talented ruedi baur for the ‘new school’ in new york
