when i made this book back in 1999 (see ‘me work’) i decided to wrap the typography on the spine around the front and rear edges, therefore rendering it fairly illegible but interesting to look at on a bookshelf…
this german book about pictogram design that i purchased this weekend goes a step further as the type wraps around the front edge and onto the face of the pages, the idea is unfortunately somewhat better that the result as the text has become a bit fuzzy, i still like it though…
