just added the ‘maandag’ book to ‘me work’ the book was commissioned by new agency dawn (the site should be on air very soon) and was made together with ‘david snellenberg’ and ‘pepijn rooijens’ who are responsible for the concept and the copy, the photography is from ‘auke vleer’, ‘lukas göbel’, ‘suzanne karsters’ and ‘me’, the illustrations are from ‘enkeling’
rummaging around in a second-hand bookstore today, i came across this beautiful old poster from 1966 (well that’s not really old… is it?) designed by ‘jan van toorn’ for the work of the spanish sculptor ‘miguel berrocal’ the poster uses coarse black & white images of the deconstructed parts of his sculptures, these often included found objects like keys, rings and old junk… simple, intriguing and relevant, just what a poster should be…
something i’ve wanted to do for years is design a postage stamp… the good news is that i’ve just been commissioned by the dutch post office to do just that…
the details are still confidential but the stamp will be issued later this year, now where did i put that magnifying glass?
photographer lard buurman is exhibiting his pictures from last year’s visit to china in de wittenplaats next week, worth a visit, but be quick it’s only on for 3 days (fri-sun)
