a small article in the press today announcing my departure from the board of art directors of the ADCN (dutch art directors club) after four years and i’m being replaced by ‘wencke van amstel’ who is a very competent AD and the right person for the job in my book… talking of books the ADCN year book from last year is still ‘in the post’ how embarassing…

i wish ‘wencke’ and the rest of the board (peter, marco, martin, ben, patrick and mattias) good luck and thanks for four ‘very entertaining’ years trying to turn a dinosaur around… it was fun

two new ballet posters, one just back from the printers yesterday (on the move) and one that was hanging in town last week (coppelia), the first i’m very pleased with, the second well… it’s a long story, the image was a collage of elements that were put together after the client rejected an image that someone else made without my involvement, a messy project and a messy result, never mind… some you win and some…

anton corbijn has made a portrait of queen beatrix of holland, a surprisingly honest portrait compared to say, the one made of queen elizabeth of great britain by annie leibowitz last year…

wow, i can’t remember the apple logo ever looking that bad… still at least they were cool & groovy enough to dress & wear their hair like theirs customers did way back in 1981… some very dated apple ads right here

i’ve almost rounded off a small corporate identity for a new company called ‘we jane’ that does female marketing… it should be going to print this week and i’ve just added the latest poster for the national ballet to ‘me work’
