i’m very pleased with this one, the type was made using ribbons by me and my girlfriend ‘femke hulshof’ who is also responsible for the photography, dog postproduction did the necessary retouching, the website is currently being developed too
just in case anybody has somehow missed the unbelievable publicity deluge: the gemeente museum in den haag is running an exhibition on the incredible ‘lucian freud’ till june this year, i’m definitely going to go when i find the time, there is a small you tube film here although i still don’t understand why they have used the ‘doctor who’ soundtrack!…
great piece about visual interpretation in different cultures on anne miltenburg’s content packed website i am currently doing a project for ‘medicins sans frontieres’ for the third world that has a lot of parallels to this article, principally regarding the issues concerning the way that illiterate people interpret words, colour and images, it’s worth a read… especially if you happen to be doing a similar project
