i just had a look at this site the blurb in their ‘bio’ section reads as follows:

and i must agree… they have some pretty outstanding work, if you ask me, if you aren’t familiar with their work have a look, it’s worth it… thanks to ‘narayana’ for the tip, or should i actually be ashamed of myself that i wasn’t already familiar with these people?

just back from a fabulous trip to berlin, had a great time and when i popped round to my favourite berlin bookshop ‘bücher bogen’ who should i bump into?… but the japanese photography ‘rock star’ Nobuyoshi Araki who was in town promoting his latest book, followed by a large entourage of beautiful japanese girls and happily posing for pictures…

it’s a national holiday here in holland today and then we’re off to berlin for a few days of inspiration… work as ususal next week

i’ve been plowing through some of the sketch work and type for five year’s worth of ballet posters, interesting to see how the software i have used has evolved in that period as well as the lettering itself (from freehand to quark xpress to indesign, i never use illustrator)

i will be compiling a series of the sketch work to put online soon…
