the ‘SJP magneten’ book 2007 arrived this week (for which i was in the jury recently) as i said to the journalist sat next to me during the awards ceremony last week ‘ i have a lot of respect for the the people working with such difficult briefs, but the quality of work was very average on the whole’

the complete series of posters for ‘holland festival’ designed by ‘maureen mooren’ are hanging around town this week, this series are a bit more somber than the one from last year (that won the theater poster award) speaking of which i have just been invited to take a seat in the jury for this year’s event (a bit ironic after my critical piece last year = see ‘me stuff) it’s a great honour to be asked, the only (big) disadvantage is that is disqualifies me from winning… and having been nominated twice i would love to win… we’ll see…

nice little outdoor idea from google germany

this beautiful stamp designed by hat trick was nominated for a D&AD award this year (n.b. the poppy is used as a remembrance symbol for those who died during the two world wars in the UK) it didn’t however win…
