i feel a little bit dizzy… after looking at this

several weeks back i posted on this event which took place in manchester… unfortunately there was a ban on cameras and filming, so it’s difficult to judge whether it was a success, but i found a little piece about it on you tube

at a guess i would say that the majority of graphic designers have a strong preference for books and posters if asked (include corporate identities for me) and one person who does both very well with a strong individual style is ‘sybren kuiper’ who moved from the ‘utrecht’ scene over to ‘the hague’ scene a while back

‘syb’ contacted me this morning with some very kind words about the ‘me blog’ and also to let me know that he has finally put his own work online enjoy…

From September 1st 2008 to January 1st 2009, five leading Dutch graphic designers will move their studio temporarily to Berlin.

why berlin? sounds like a great idea to me, i’m jealous…

i am delighted to announce that i have once again been nominated for the theater poster awards this year… here are the ten nominations… all worthy contenders in my opinion

this wasn’t entirely a big surprise, as i was also a member of the jury this year, however i hasten to add that this had no influence on my own nomination and i of course took no part in that decision, i wish good luck to all the nominees, the awards take place on september the 11th in amsterdam

i have also been asked to make a small presentation to introduce the evening on the subject of personal inspiration… as usual i said yes and then realised that i’m terrified of talking in front of large groups…
