i know, it’s very nerdy to qet excited about images of old signs and typography, but this series just posted on villatype i do like…

speaking of the ID annual design review 2008 this canadian company paprika also deservedly won for the ‘les allusifs’ series of book covers, absolutely beautful these… i wish ‘me’ had made ’em, much like the film titles in the previous post, these have an unusual quality of looking almost ‘retro’ and very ‘now’ at the same time

imaginary forces have just won an ID magazine design award for this strong and simple title sequence for the new film ‘the number 23

photographer ‘maurice scheltens’ contacted me as he has just released a new book and it’s free online along with several others…
