i have finally got round to digitising the ‘poker face’ playing card font i made recently and am busy making a design with it… i have also added several characters, more news soon…

i got an email today asking for volunteers to help ‘stefan sagmeister’ realise an ‘urban intervention’ project in september in amsterdam, the final piece will be 20 by 40 square meters and will be made out of copper euro coins laid out according to colour… sounds interesting, if you feel like spending a whole day on your knees send them an email here: [email]droog@sagmeister.com[/email]

this is apparently part of the experimenta design festival, which i had heard nothing about until an hour ago, the site is a bit cryptical but does give some clues…

via the ‘gestalten.tv’ designers podcasts (worth a look) i came across this israeli designer ‘eded ozer’ who is a typographer and has some strong work and interesting ideas as he says himself, the market he works in doesn’t require experimental work so he creates the need himself..
