de designpolitie have uploaded a series of photos from their book launch in amsterdam on the the 20th of november, the presentations were done by ‘dingeman kuilman’ (a history of the dutch police, including their little known collaboration with the occupying nazis during the war), ‘herman van bostelen’ (a funny talk about failure), ‘eric kessels’ (a disappointing speech about design) and ‘anton beeke’ (a flamboyant and oddball presentation involving a naked woman and a mask)

all in all a very entertaining evening, even though i left before the party (as i had just become a father the previous night) i’m already looking forward to their next book launch in ten years time…

i love these alternative movie posters showing all of the brands featured in the film, great idea and execution

the ‘city cab’ poster series are also very nice… shame the tokyo cab is missing though…

if you’ve ver tried creating or re-creating a pixel-based image using anything (even pixels) you will probably appreciate just how amazing these installations are

american artist devorah sperber makes large scale (colour) pixellated images using cotton reels which are then projected onto circular mirrors or through glass spheres so that they are reconverged and look sharper, impressive…

yet another great piece from ‘mister ian wright’

some very interesting work from ‘charlotte c sullivan’ like these ‘bubble drawings’ and the self portraits she asked people to make, but then with their eyes closed…
