no it’s not real…yet but these are concept images for a remake of the classic merc’ gullwing from the 50’s, which is apparently going into production… wow even if you aren’t really into cars (like me) you have to admit THAT looks sexy…

new office
‘me studio’ is moving into a new office next week, which is something i’m really looking forward to, this will be the second office (combined with the regular address shown here left) it’s in a big old bank building just opposite those three sinister looking black cars… more news on this next week
underwater love
following on from the work we did together on the underwater ballet poster, my good friend photographer ruud baan recently shot this fabulous series for a very well-known ‘men’s magazine’
the magazine (who shall remain nameless) incredibly decided to reject the series… so i am very pleased to publish them here for all to see, some people just don’t ‘get it’ i suppose… very nice mate…
re: design
the ‘dutch theater institute’, also known under the acronym TIN have restyled their corporate identity to coincide with a move to new offices and a new mission statement or corporate vision… shown here are both the old and new logos…
footnote: i wasn’t sure whether to post this story at first for the following reason; you see i was involved in the pitch to design this job at the end of last year, unfortunately for me i lost the pitch to a larger design firm ‘atelier van gog’, who have made the new logo and housestyle, so writing about this job could make me seem very bitter and a bad sport, after all i did lose the pitch…
the point being that i was rather ‘surprised’ by the result which was released last week and i’m sure i would have been even if i wasn’t involved at some level, the old logo wasn’t very special in my opinion but the new one is… well you decide for yourselves, i was pretty underwhelmed to say the least… oh yeah and if you’re not sure which is the old one and which is the new one, just have a wild guess…
