DDA nomination

the suikerdepot identity (see previous post and ‘me work’) has been nominated for the ‘dutch design awards’ in the category best housestyle, the show takes place in late october…

…during a press conference in Eindhoven, the names of the 74 finalists in the Dutch Design Awards have been made public. The finalists in this 7th edition of internationally recognised professional awards have been selected from more than 700 projects by committees comprised of experts in the design field. The winners ? competing for a total of 20 Awards in the main categories of Communication, Product, and Spatial ? are chosen by an international jury and introduced to the design world during the festive Award Show on 17 October 17, 2009, together with the winners of Awards in the following special categories: The Golden Eye (most successful design of 2009), the Audi Design Award (public award), the Rado Young Designer Award (incentive award for young talent), the Best Client Award, and the BNO – Piet Zwart Life Time Achievement Award. The designs of all finalists and winners will subsequently be exhibited for one week in the Brainport Greenhouse on the Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven during Dutch Design Week.

a complete list of the finalists can be see here, although the DDA oddly hasn’t updated their own site yet…
