the 240 page book i’ve just designed (and partially photographed) for my friend ‘tom kniesmeijer’ is finally finished and has gone to press today…
here’s a quick preview, more news in the coming weeks, the book is going to be launched somewhere in amsterdam at the end of november…

well i know how this guy feels, except i haven’t been drinking… just working too many hours a day, several projects are nearing completion and i hope things will be a bit less hectic in the coming period… (thanks to ‘martin de waal’ for the hilarious link, he just keeps on getting back up…)

some interesting work from french studio muesli (i wonder how that’s pronounced in french?)
like for example, their work for the ‘centre chorégraphique’ dance company using mainly graphic elements to describe dance and the poster with a music notation system for ‘beatboxing’, thanks to ‘uwe’ for the tip…
best magazine cover designs 2009
these magazine covers have been nominated as being amongst the best made this year… in most cases i think a ‘best use of ilustration or photography award’ would be more suitable… the image for ‘de groene amsterdammer’ featuring an image by ‘andré thijssen’ under the heading ‘is economic growth necessary?’ being one of my favourites…
