i came across the complete alphabet of this ‘painful’ font made by local photographer ‘arjan benning’ on behance, shame the numbers and extra glyphs are missing, the ‘@’ symbol for example would be nice to see… arjan also recently worked with ‘anton beeke’ on his naked alphabet update…

go on admit it, your image of kazachstan was the same as mine: borat…, well i came across this bizarre story and even more bizarre city on the BBC website:

the whole place which is barely 10 years old, looks like a ‘toy town’ CGI rendering… the blazing building below (which was already known locally as the ‘cigarette lighter’) is one of the most bizarre constructions… plenty of images can be found on flickr

the annual dutch ‘best book designs’ competition is currently open for entries, more info (dutch only) on their (surprisingly boring) website but again, be quick: the deadline is next week…
