how sweet is this? a collection of 178 handmade matchboxes in harmony, ok i don’t really like lightweight r’n’b either, but you have to admire the amount of effort it took prague-based designer ‘pavel fuksa’ (shot on a canon 5D)

i am currently preparing a poster image with photographer ‘lukas göbel’ for the dutch national ballet, the subject is ballet legend ‘nijinski’ and our approach is to make a reconstruction of some famous portrait images of the man himself, with specially made antique clothing and weathered backdrops in a daylight studio, the whole thing is being shot on an old technical camera and will be aged to fit the period, including the typography and logos… more news soon

nice little stop motion ad from art-director ‘jarr geerligs’ at selmore, executed by paul postma, if you don’t speak dutch don’t worry it’s just another bank promising that they are different and your money is safe with them, yeah sure it is…

the ‘royal college of art’ in london has finally silenced the rumour-mill regarding the new head of the college (to replace ‘dan fern’) which has been causing considerable discussion about the ‘art versus design’ issue recently… and in my opinion they’ve made a surprising but very good choice
