off-topic post: i must have missed this one: unbelievable but true: earlier this year, new order’s ‘peter hook’ (who looks more and more like a builder these days) and his mate ‘ben kelly’ have actually reopened the building on princess street in manchester, better known as the factory, i really hope it’s going to be about ‘now’ and not just a big exercise in nostalgia wallowing…
i’ll admit to being a big admirer of ‘sagmeister’ and always find his work inspiring but when it comes to his latest project i find myself oddly agreeing with this latest comment on you tube, i fear:
…it’s cool, it uses some of his wonderful tricks with type, but it is advertising. As such, it’s full of bollocks…

talented icelander ‘siggi eggertson’ mailed me that he has updated his portfolio site, this mash up piece featuring all of his work is pretty hypnotic and also just made it into the D&AD annual this year
there are as many good and bad solutions to building a good online portfolio site as there are photographers, one of my favourites for usability and simplicity is from UK photographer ‘nadav kander’ but this one by dutch documentary photographer martijn van de griendt also takes a fresh approach… nice
