just spotted in town: amsterdam city marketing struggles to keep pleasing the tourists despite budget cuts…

and some heavy machinery is brought in to cure a case of ‘bad kerning’…

i’ve been invited to help curate yet another new random image dump website, but where is it all heading? i wonder…

you could argue that brightly coloured geometric forms are a fairly obvious and perhaps too-trendy route to choose for depicting music, but this poster for ‘amsterdam sinfonietta’ drew my attention and that is after all, the primary function of a poster… my only gripe is the disappointing type (i couldn’t find a credit for the design)

as pointed out by ‘uwe’ who sent me the link, this reconstructed building and accompanying performance by ‘telenoika’ is pretty awesome, just the sheer effort to build this let alone the end result…
