I attended a lecture at the stedelijk museum today with Pierre Bernard, the poster designed by himself was put up around
town today, the background is white seen in the daytime but at night it becomes dark and an amazing star-lit sky appears
a beautiful book about bernard designed by reynoud homan was also presented
me studio has just completed a book for our friend, photographer Alex ten Napel, the series is called ‘water portraits’ and the book was made especially for ‘Paris Photo’ where they were on display last week.
despite a limited production budget, we decided to experiment with a blue tint in the varnish used for text & over the photos plus unusual textured paper, this required some work to keep the overall colour correct but we’re pleased with the final result.

later in the evening we finally met pierre bernard and had a meal with the whole team and the speakers, a journalist from the ‘NRC Handelsblad’ was present & will be writing a piece in the newspaper on friday, everyone seemed to get along well and we discussed the final points for sunday…
