the ‘den haag’ squiggle
for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, the logo shown below was designed (honestly) by anton corbijn, the dutch photographer and filmmaker, i’m a big fan of his work and think he’s very talented but this logo (intended to promote the hague) is just absolutely terrible…
like the ‘London 2012’ olympics logo that is being attacked in the press at the moment, it was obviously made with the idea of not looking like a regular logo, the problem is when you see it applied on this (equally terrible) poster that it just doesn’t work at all… it’s by far the least legible piece of information on the poster, apparently his new film ‘control’ about joy division is a lot better… let’s hope so
