my stamp design for the dutch post office has been completed and is ready for production, i’m very pleased with this one… it will be available later this year but i’m not allowed to show the design in advance, more news as soon as it’s finished…

the preliminary results of the dutch ‘best book design 2007’ have been posted online (dutch only) these two caught my eye, based solely on the covers… a book by the predictably good ‘irma boom’ and an annual report by ‘joost grootens’ both are very talented book designers…

Late in 2006 the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag acquired a major collection of photographs compiled by Amsterdam gallery owner and publisher Willem van Zoetendaal. The museum?s photo-collection was expanded at a stroke by more than 1000 items, including not only early and previously unknown work by modern photographers of the calibre of Rineke Dijkstra, Koos Breukel, Blommers & Schumm, Hellen van Meene and Paul Kooiker, but also historic photographs taken by figures like Cas Oorthuys and George H. Breitner.
