i came across these old images of mine, which i shot at the ‘manga museum’ in kyoto, japan last year, the contents of the mangas i didn’t find very interesting but the covers spread out around the walls looked absolutely fabulous, even if these images don’t really do them justice
‘underware’ recently held a design competition for their ‘fakir’ font… you can read all about it and see the overview of all entries here this one particularily caught me eye… nice
…was until very recently linked to the ‘house of orange’ but has decided to go solo again and can now be contacted via her own site
i came across this production photo online for ‘mourning becomes electra’ by toneelgroep amsterdam that apparently had an overhead projector beaming across the stage whilst one of the actors drew diagrams on it, live during the play, i wish i’d seen that it looks great… (i couldn’t find a credit for the image apologies whoever you are)
talking of posters, i have now officially been asked to take a seat in the jury for the dutch ‘theater poster awards’ 2008, which is an honour, i would still rather win it though…
shown above: one previous winner ‘vagina monologues from ‘sander plug & marieke schellart’, in the middle a poster by ‘jan bons’and on the right one of my ballet poster which was nominated last year… the jury day takes place over two weeks, should be interesting…
