yet another book on icon design (gerd arntz, otl aicher etc…) this one made by ‘ed annink’ and ‘max bruinsma’ following on from the show in utrecht last year, well designed and written too… although i must admit i haven’t read it all yet…

yes he really did do it… this looks like a great documentary based on the trailer at least… (link via design observer)

some beautiful illustrations in this book by tibor kalman’s widow: the principles of uncertainty

well here it is: my (very first) stamp design for the dutch post office… something i’ve wanted to design for years

it goes on sale on the 1st of september, the text is a quote by english poet ‘byron’ and the theme i chose to illustrate is ‘writing’ the release coincides with ‘the week of the greetings card’ promotion, more news on this next week…
