the amsterdam ‘municipal art acquisitions’ programme for 2009 is being curated by ‘hans aarsman’; the theme is photography, but then of the sort that wasn’t made to function as art, i.e. functional photography or images that were created for a wholly different purpose, a difficult subject and one which i’m very curious to see the outcome of… the (dutch only) entry form can be downloaded here
yet another beautifully executed (but very formulaic and predictable) ‘color like no other’ commercial by sony, shame all that effort has gone into selling something as banal as a TV though…

i’ve yet to see the book but judging by these images it’s going to be worth the effort…
