david shrigley never ceases to amuse me, cynical, ironic and sometimes just odd but always funny

you can buy some not so polite merchandise if you need to, i’m tempted to buy the um… unusual… salt & pepper set

one of the benefits of having a kid (in a few weeks) is that it gives you a chance to clean up and make space (at least that’s what the wife told me…) so i am sorting through almost 15 years worth of hip, defunct and occasionally obscure magazines that have being lying around me studio gathering dust… (there are probably about 400 of them) i have trouble throwing anything away but the magazines (except a few real gems) will have to go, as soon as i’ve made the impossible decision about what goes and what stays, i’ll post a list and if anyone’s interested they’re yours… for free, you just have to pop by and collect them

nice little animation from germany with a definite ‘incredibles’ vibe in the character style…
i came across two little animation films this afternoon, both are really nice… however they are bordering on the limit of what i would consider to be ‘inspired by’
the first one bears more than a passing resemblance to the work off ’12k’ i couldn’t find any online straight away but if you search kinetic typography on you tube you’ll see what i mean perhaps…

the second one a stop frame animation piece reminded me very strongly of the ‘minilogue’ animation from last year or am i just imagining things?

german designer ‘uwe loesch’ is an absolutely fantastic poster designer, if you ask me…

a large part the other (corporate ID & editorial) work on his site is, in general, of a much lesser quality in my eyes but also confirms just how good the poster work is…
