work in progress
i am currently preparing a new image for the ballet together with photographer ‘ruud baan’ and set designer ‘gloudy’ it will feature a number of dancers and extra figures in a large set, the type for the poster is all being constructed as an integral part of the picture including the logo, more news next week on this one…
touchy feely design
the dutch post office have commissioned local designer ‘rené put’ to make a series of stamp to celebrate the invention of braille…
these aren’t the first stamps ever made using braille but possibly one of the more interesting ones: the typography is placed on the front and on the reverse, so that the reader can see which letters are being formed by the braille type, very nice indeed
rené put is quite an elusive figure as i couldn’t really find anything about him or his work online, except an under construction website, shame because his work is worth sharing from what i’ve seen so far…

i’ve been kept in bed and away from the keyboard for a few days with a nasty case of the old influenza, but slowly getting better… danish photographer ‘simon hoegsberg’ sent me a mail about his work including this fascinating panorama ‘we’re all gonna die’
all my troubles seemed so far away….
dylan and i finally completed the CD jewel case type project yesterday in the hague, in all it took us two weeks to make the installation and record it, we made a series of pictures, followed the whole process using a CCTV camera hung in the daylight studio and we shot a stop motion series at the end while we dismantled the piece…. more news soon
i say we are finished… but actually we need to make the films and edit the whole thing so it may be a while yet…
