‘joost rozenkrans’ from nlxl mailed me today with the following message:
NLXL – Visual communication & Interaction design from The Hague, the Netherlands ended as a studio after 7.5 years. In 2008 the studio had its most difficult year. However this was not the reason to end the studio. Partners Bob, Oscar and Joost felt that during this period it created an opportunity for individual reflection.
‘We used this as a moment to rethink our personal plans and ambitions. In the end all three of us came to the same conclusion that we would rather chose a future for ourselves then going on together as a studio. We started as friends, and we will continue as friends, and that is of great value for all of us’ they add to this. ‘It was a fantastic time!’
i wish them all good luck…
also this week i heard that the designers republic are also stopping, i wish ian anderson (whom i met in amsterdam at ‘mind the gap’ back in ’96) and the rest all good luck too…
