speaking of fairytales; here’s a preview of our latest ballet image (shot by ruud baan) for the ‘a la russe’ production, i will be working on the poster in the coming week… this time no complicated sets or props just dancers and a backdrop for a change

german publisher ‘gestalten’ has an open community page or blackboard where young talent can upload their latest work, worth a visit now and then… like this beautiful image by ‘valentin fischer’

sixty six year old photographer marrigje de maar has an enduring love affair with the forgotten regions of china and has just returned from a trip to the tibetan plateaus

she will be holding several exhibitions of her new work in the coming year, including a large show at huis marseille in amsterdam in early 2011

…each portrait consist of more than fifty different images. The various expressions blend in to perhaps one true self. What they know is what you know, by looking at them….

an interesting new series of multiple portraits by local photographer katrien franken, the effect is very similar to a series shot by german photographer michael wesely when shooting a whole class of school children using multiple exposures on one sheet of film, the heads in his shots also tended to morph into one generic face… much like this but then composed of something like 30 different children (see below)
