the opening of lukas göbel’s photo exhibition ‘return to pakantan’ on sunday morning started with an unexpected visit to a church service in the local baptist ministry… i think that’s the first time i’ve been in a church on sunday in about 35 years!
the large format photos have been hung (together with the original black & white images by johan thiessen from 1908) in a spacious split-level hallway in the church and they are definitely worth a trip to haarlem to see, well done mate, great work…
